As a former Associate Director of Admissions at Stanford Law School, I have read thousands of applications front to back, and have a deep understanding of what top law schools are looking for. It is more than just trying to 'stand out' from the crowd. You will need to craft a highly compelling story so that you convince the admissions committee that you have amazing potential as a law student, AND you will make a valuable contribution. I have many years of experience helping prospective law students gain admission to their dream schools - even those with less than optimal GPAs and LSAT scores. I am a strong believer that an applicant is more than the numbers - but the essay is the make-it or break-it factor. I will be your thought partner and supportive advisor from start to finish. I have expertise developing individualized time lines, school lists, letters of recommendation, resumes, essays (required and optional), character and fitness paragraphs, managing waitlists and even negotiating financial aid awards. I'm a Yale University graduate and incoming student of the Stanford Law School class of 2028. I served as a Marine Corps officer in the four years after graduating Yale where I learned how to lead teams and developed discipline and mental toughness . I have extensive experience working with students to get into college and graduate programs through the nonprofit Rawan Mentorship. I will leverage my experiences in undergraduate and graduate admissions to support you throughout the application process from devising an application strategy to putting the finishing touches on your essays.

🎓 I get it: I recently underwent both the US and UK law school admissions process (spring 2023), with successful results in both. I was admitted to NYU (matriculated), Columbia, Georgetown, and GW, and was waitlisted at Yale. I was also accepted to the University of Law in London and BPP (and can share why I opted for the US over UK system). I can help clients craft their law school narrative in the context of a rapidly evolving admissions system. I am available to review applicants' essays, provide interview strategy tips, and share guidance on the financial aid process. 👨🏾‍💼 I've succeeded in the job market: I'm familiar with the BigLaw recruiting process for 1Ls, which I successfully underwent in summer 2024, with early offers from 6 of the 8 BigLaw firms to which I applied. This summer I will be interning at two US law firms (AmLaw 100) with strong international litigation and arbitration practices. I can also provide interview tips and strategies on how to leverage your law school's OCS.

I have advised hundreds and hundreds of law school applicants over an almost twenty year period. I am an expert in law school admissions and have also published a book and a nationwide column about it. Many applicants that I have advised have been admitted to their top choice of law schools. Some of my former students have also received up to full scholarships to law school. I am also an expert on the subject of legal careers, as well as alternative legal careers. In addition I have taught several courses for students planning to apply to law school. I am a graduate of Brown University and Boston College Law School.

As a first generation professional, I understand how stressful navigating the law school admissions process can be for applicants. After a post-graduation public interest fellowship and some time in big law, I spent more than a decade working at two T14 law schools—the University of Chicago and Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. My time working in legal education in both recruiting and student affairs means I am well-versed in how best to navigate the admissions process and select and succeed in the law school that is right for you. I am particularly passionate about working with those first generation professionals who are navigating the admissions process and with those from backgrounds historically excluded from the legal profession.

As someone who was admitted to both Harvard Law School and NYU Law, I bring firsthand experience navigating the highly competitive law school admissions process. My background includes four years as a software engineer at a top-tier tech company, where I honed analytical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills — all of which I bring to my coaching. I’ve conducted countless interviews in a professional setting and understand how to prepare applicants to present themselves with clarity and confidence. I’ve also already helped several individuals craft compelling personal statements and prepare strong applications, guiding them through every step of the process. Whether someone is applying to T14 schools or aiming to craft a narrative that stands out, I’m here to help approach their application strategically and authentically.

During my legal career, I earned admission to a top-five law school, clerked for a future Supreme Court Justice, worked as Special Counsel for a U.S. Senator, and even helped litigate in the Supreme Court on behalf of the President. I am currently a 3L student at University of Pennsylvania Law School. I was accepted off the waitlist in May 2023; before I committed to Penn, I was planning on attending UCLA Law. At Penn, I was awarded the Leader of the Year Award for my pro bono work my 2L year, received my Wharton Certificate in Management, and was a Wharton McNulty Nonprofit Board Fellow with Jounce Partners. I am the Development Editor for the Journal of Constitutional Law and led both the Pardon Project and Democracy Law Project (the two largest pro bono projects at Penn). Before law school, I worked for three years -- I was on the 2020 Biden Campaign and then worked in the Administration at the U.S. Department of Health of Human Services in the Secretary's Office. I have mentored four people through the law school waitlist process, drawing on my own experience of being initially waitlisted at Penn. When I applied to law school, I was working long hours and was not a natural test taker, so I focused on leveraging my professional experience and presenting my story in the strongest possible way. That approach earned me admission to UCLA Law (a T14 school) through my personal statement and essays, and later, I was accepted off the waitlists at both Georgetown Law and Penn Law before starting 1L. Since then, I have coached four applicants through the same process, helping them strategically navigate their waitlists. Each of them ultimately secured admission to their top-choice school, along with several others. I hope to continue using my experience to help future applicants maximize their chances of success.
