Hi! I'm Bruce Hanson and I've coached the GRE for 10 years both as an instructor at UCLA and as the founder of First Choice Admissions. I specialize in getting students scores of 325+ and I've helped hundreds of students just like you hit their goals! I created a rigorous curriculum at UCLA by sending classrooms of students through the program and further honed it through thousands of hours of teaching private students. I produce consistent and exceptional results.

Andrew never thought he'd be an influencer, but here we are! Andrew has shared hundreds of GRE videos with his 30K TikTok followers, but nothing replaces the energy of live instruction. With a 99th percentile score (170 on Verbal and 169 on Quant), Andrew knows a thing or two about the GRE. However, just scoring well on a test doesn't make someone a good instructor. 10 years of test prep experience does. Before moving into grad school testing, Andrew was an in-demand SAT instructor on the Upper East Side of Manhattan at some of the most selective high schools. He has taught the GRE in person, online, and on campuses such as USC, UC San Diego, and CSU Northridge. He loves helping students reach their highest potential and conquer their fears!

It often happens that one's natural habits/practices form the strongest basis for excellence in a certain area -- a good reason for why none of my friends batted an eyelash when they heard I had begun training students in the GRE. Essentially the only books I ever read are the classics of Victorian age European and American literature, whose heightened word choices provide me with a unique appreciation/understanding for the vocabulary questions of the GRE (now a full 1/2 of the verbal questions!). But that's not all. I've had the privilege of training students in the GRE for around a decade, and am highly versed in the reading comprehension, logic, and quantitative questions. Perhaps that's why more than 60% of the students I take on are able to crank up their cumulative score by 12 points or more. Not only that, but 93% of my GRE students end up with thick envelopes -- the ones containing acceptance letters -- mailed to them by their first and second choices of grad school.

I'm an experienced GRE tutor who has tutored hundreds of students over the past eight years. My clients have been admitted to Harvard, Yale, MIT, Cornell, and more. I have a 99th-percentile score on the GRE (335), as well as a 98th-percentile score on the GMAT. My approach is straightforward, kind, and effective. Since I became a full-time tutor in 2015, test prep has become the area where most of my tutoring hours come from. Over time, I've become proficient in prepping students for the SAT, ACT, GRE, GED, and ASVAB. Of the more than 30 students I have worked with on GRE prep, all of them needed help with the Quantitative Reasoning section. However, I have also helped students with the Verbal and Analytical Reasoning sections. In addition to building up students' fundamentals, I teach the test-taking skills necessary to get the score they're looking for. The GRE is unlike a "normal" test one might see in college, so having an expert guide is essential. I'm proud to say that all the students I've worked with have been accepted into graduate school, and multiple students are now working on their doctorates.

While I began as a GMAT instructor (+20 years of experience), the skills I acquired in that arena were easily transferred to the GRE.
