I hold a Doctor of Medical Science degree with a focus on Advanced Professional Practice, and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Rutgers University, where I also took part in admissions decisions. My experience as a Pediatric Physician Assistant and my role in hiring decisions at Syracuse Community Health have given me unique insights into what makes a standout candidate. Additionally, my time as an Admissions Department Administrative Assistant at Boston University has honed my skills in navigating the complexities of the admissions landscape. I spent 3 1/2 years as a Pre-PA Advisor at Brigham Young University. In that time, I provided individual academic and career advisement to over 1000+ pre-PA students seeking successful graduate school admission. Welcome to my profile! With over two decades of experience in the medical field, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise as a Physician Assistant and educator. My journey has taken me from the fast-paced environments of emergency medicine as an EMT-Paramedic to providing comprehensive care at top hospitals like Hartford Hospital and Seattle Children's Hospital. As an Adjunct Professor at the University of Washington, I have mentored countless PA students, equipping them with the clinical skills and critical thinking necessary for success. I am passionate about guiding aspiring PAs through their career paths, offering personalized coaching to help you excel in your studies and professional endeavors. I am a board-certified Physician Assistant and I want to help aspiring PAs navigate what can be a daunting application process. I graduated from PA school in December 2023, passed the PANCE in January 2024, and recently started my role as a primary care PA in California. After graduating in microbiology from Brigham Young University, I interviewed with many PA programs and chose to attend PA school at South College Atlanta. I was also on both the President’s list and Dean’s list multiple quarters throughout PA school. Prior to PA school I worked in a variety of clinical roles and settings, so I have a breadth of experience to draw on in assessing personal statements, activity summaries, and resumes.

With ten years of graduate admissions experience at Stanford University's School of Engineering and School of Education, I can give you an understanding of the application and review process, address your concerns, and answer your questions about graduate school applications. Since 2013, I have worked as a professional graduate admission consultant specializing in helping students navigate the process of applying to graduate programs in the United States, Canada, and the UK. I have traveled worldwide to meet prospective students and their families and understand the different cultural expectations around earning an advanced degree. I founded WISE Graduate Admissions Consulting to share my knowledge and experience with students worldwide. Not to "game the system" but to help applicants navigate the application process so they can present the most favorable, accurate, and compelling picture to committee members of what they have to offer their department. My consulting services will provide you with honest and personalized support as you prepare to apply to graduate school. In particular, I have deep expertise in the areas of engineering, the natural sciences, social sciences, and education. I do not screen out clients based on their academic records.
