The McKinsey behavioral interview is a much more intensive kind of behavioral interview, offering much more depth and nuance than even other MBB firms. As coaches, we were interview-trained by our respective firms (McKinsey & Bain), and have conducted dozens of in-person interviews. We know what it's like to be on both sides of the process. Our feeling is that resources out there today are largely inadequate or canned when it comes to helping people nail the behavioral / personal experience interview. This shouldn't be a mystery -- and it's a waste of everyone's time and effort. Our goal is to provide that transparency. Through real-time interviews that aren't even fully prepped and have natural variability, we'll give you an idea of how these interviews are conducted. Watching a YouTube video or having strategies talked through purely in concept will only get you so far. Coupling strategies with actual interview walkthroughs will give a much more nuanced, inside view into what McKinsey, Bain and other consulting firms are looking for in the hiring process. Beyond MBB or consulting interviews, if you can hold your own in the McKinsey PEI, you'll be able to handle just about any other behavioral interview. We're not here to instill false confidence or say consulting is the hardest thing you'll ever do in life, but the level of preparation and strategies employed during this interview are highly generalizable to any future job search. So even if you're not sure about whether you want to pursue consulting or are simply looking to improve your interview skills, this session will elevate how you show up in critical moments.
