Carolyn has helped clients get into these companies:
I've worn a lot of different hats, in many different sectors over my career. Like a lot of college seniors, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do when I graduated, so I jumped into recruiting for consulting firms. I joined Bain's New York office and worked for three years there as a management consultant. While I loved the job, learned a lot, and met some of my best friends, I realized after three years that something was missing. After leaving Bain, I spent six months working in the Global Health branch at the Gates Foundation, which opened my eyes to the scale of global inequality and motivated me to consider working for one of our partner organizations. A couple months later, I moved to East Africa, where I spent the next three years working for One Acre Fund, a social enterprise that helps farmers farm more productively. There I shaped a 5-year systems change strategy and oversaw strategy/ops for our Kenya field team. After a 3-year MBA/MPP program at Harvard and Stanford, I'm focused on helping people build lives of joyful connection as a coach and community builder - which has involved stints in state level government, social entrepreneurship, and building my coaching practice. I'd love to use these experiences and skills I've learned along the way to help you navigate the twists and turns in your own career. Check my calendar to schedule an intro chat and get started -- if you don't see a time that works, just reach out to me directly!

About Carolyn
Growing up, I was the youngest sibling who always wanted a younger sibling to guide and mentor. While that younger sibling never came along, I found other ways to grow my interest in coaching. In high school I led eight sophomores through an eleven day backpacking trip and in college I coached girls' lacrosse. At Bain, while I enjoyed the challenge of cracking the case, what I enjoyed most was developing excel bootcamps for my direct reports and helping them set professional goals. At One Acre Fund, one of the largest social enterprises in East Africa, my favorite project involved launching a professional development program that upskilled 2,500 sales agents. Suffice to say - I'm a people person through and through who is on a mission to help bring out the best in people -- whether that's during a point of transition, in a classroom, in a meeting, or on an athletic field. I'd love to be a part of your journey.
Why do I coach?
Coaches have profoundly shaped how I see myself and have helped me re-examine what my upper bounds are. I've gone further, faster as a result. Through my own coaching experiences I've learned that coaches offer what no one else in your life does. Unlike friends, family members, romantic partners, and colleagues, they are there to listen with undivided attention and without a biased agenda. I've experienced the magic that comes from this and want to pay it forward.
