I have taught and mentored students for five years in both a one-on-one and classroom setting. I have a passion for teaching reading and writing to help students prepare for the college application process, standardized tests, and beyond. One of my biggest strengths is tailoring teaching to each individual student to help them understand on a level that gives them the confidence they need on test day. I am also a strategy guru and have many years of experience coaching students on study and test taking strategies for both multiple choice and timed writing.

Reading and writing can seem unscientific, but I can help bring some method to the madness. I received a 780 on the section in high school (1 wrong), and have since helped tutor many high school students during college. There are common patterns for the types of questions you'll get asked, and I will help you think like a test-maker and test-taker.

I've been coaching students for the SAT since 2013, and I keep fully up to date on all the developments with the exam, including the recent change to the digital format. I have coached dozens of students in one-on-one tutoring, including students who have scored up to 1540 on the exam. What's important to me is personal improvement and a growth mindset: every mistake offers an opportunity to learn how to improve. For this reason, I ask all students to keep an Error Log of mistakes, so that we can understand your knowledge gaps as well as process errors, in order to help you score as high as possible on your next exam. I know all about standardized testing, having earned a perfect 1600 on the Math & Reading sections of the SAT in addition to perfect scores on the ACT and the new GMAT. I have a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and Applied Math from Johns Hopkins University and I currently work as a Product Manager in New York City. In addition to having tutored math and standardized tests throughout high school and college, I am currently a mentor to high school students through Minds Matter and participate in Pro Bono projects at work.
