About Stephen
I have been working in the tech space for 10+ years in customer facing roles and for the last 3 in a People Manager role. Even before getting in to a leadership role, I found the most satisfaction and joy in helping those around me think about and talk through what was next in their career. Whether it was a peer, friend or second degree connection, I have always made time to help those around me. In addition to my experience in interviewing/hiring and managing a team, I have also been trained in the Co-Active coaching fundamentals and apply this framework in my coaching sessions. Doing so helps me understand what motivates each of my clients and how their career interacts with the other aspects of their life.
Why do I coach?
To put it simply, my why behind coaching is my way of paying it forward. Coming out of college, I had little direction or idea of what I wanted to do with my career. I was able to grow and flourish in my career because I was able to work with people who believed in me and helped guide me in the direction that best matched what would bring me fulfillment. My coaching style is not about telling my clients what I would do if I was in their position or what I have seen be successful for others. I work to understand what fulfillment looks like and feels like for each individual and reinforce the fact that their career is just one aspect of their life.

After being selected for this role, I was tasked with interviewing and hiring a team of 9 CSMs to fill out the newly formed Mid-Market segment. To accomplish this, I interviewed 17 internal candidates and led the hiring committee through a panel and presentation round. Once hired, I led the onboarding process as well as building out the strategy and process for managing customers in the segment.
