About Sarah

Hey everyone! My name is Sarah, a 4th-year medical student in the Washington, D.C. area, preparing to match into Internal Medicine and Pediatrics combined residency this spring. Medicine has always been my calling, though I explored other healthcare-adjacent careers along the way. When I didn’t get accepted into medical school during my first cycle, I refused to give up. Instead, I reached out to programs for feedback, strengthened my application, and completed a specialized Master’s program designed to support aspiring medical students. With perseverance and hard work, I was ultimately accepted into my dream medical school. Now, four years later, I’m on the verge of the next exciting chapter. Outside of the hospital, I love running, boxing, wine tasting, and cooking!

Why do I coach?

I want to coach pre-medical students because I know firsthand how challenging, and at times discouraging, the journey to medical school can be. After facing rejection in my first application cycle, I relied on the guidance of research mentors, professors, and supportive friends and family who helped me identify areas for growth, refine my application, and rebuild my confidence. Their mentorship was invaluable, shaping my path and ultimately leading me to success. Now, as a mentor to college students, I strive to do the same—helping them navigate the process, find compelling ways to showcase their unique strengths, and discover opportunities to strengthen their applications. I want to be the coach I wish I had earlier in my college years, providing the guidance and support to help others reach their goals.
