About Nathan
I’m the founder of 824 Ventures, an executive coaching and leadership development firm. I’ve coached leaders at high growth startups and bellwether companies including DoorDash, Google, Electronic Arts, LinkedIn, Procter & Gamble, Neighbor, and Lyft. Most recently I was the VP of People at Neighbor, an a16z-backed startup disrupting the storage industry. Prior to Neighbor, I spent 4.5 years at DoorDash where I was hired as the first head of people operations and scaled the company from 250 to 5,000+ employees. I built the first leadership development program and coached more than half of the executive team. Prior to joining DoorDash, I held several roles on the HR team at LinkedIn. I started my career on Wall Street at Lehman Brothers where I had a front-row seat to the largest bankruptcy in history. I’m the author of the career strategy book, Not Your Parents' Workplace, and regularly write for Forbes, Inc, and Fast Company. I’m an IRONMAN triathlon finisher, hold an MBA from Brigham Young University and was trained as a coach at the Co-Active Training Institute. I live with my wife and our four kids in southern Utah.
