I took a non-traditional path networking that lead to nine internships in three different states, culminating in a full-time investment banking offer for a technology group in San Francisco. I received two Corporate Development offers at private equity-backed SaaS companies. Today, I've worked 2+ years as the first Corporate Development-focused employee at PDQ.com, a TA-Associates and Berkshire Partners backed SaaS business. In this role: - I've built out the M&A function leading deal sourcing, execution, and integration for a highly profitable, growth-stage SaaS business. - I've successful completed three acquisitions that led to tripled growth for the company in two years. - I have spoken to over 200 founders, vetting their businesses for strategic fit, and have participated in dozens of bank sell-side processes - Report daily to the C-Suite, weekly to the Board, and actively collaborate with Product, Engineering, Go-to-Market, and other internal teams to source and conduct due diligence I've also networked with leaders at top Corporate Development platforms at public companies (Apple, Zoom, PayPal, Shopify, American Tower, Royal Caribbean) and understand the recruiting landscape and difference in platforms as well.
