About Emma
***Please do not schedule directly on my calendar without first messaging me and receiving confirmation first! Now accepting a limited number of new clients**** Nice to meet you! My name is Emma, and I live in Cambridge, MA, where I am pursuing my MBA at HBS. Prior to HBS, I worked in private equity, investment banking, and strategic finance, all with a consumer and retail industry focus. I have benefitted immensely from the mentors in my life (this was my HBS essay topic!) and I would love to work with you and continue to pay that back. Whether you are aiming to get accepted to your MBA program of choice or would instead prefer to talk consumer PE or investment banking, I am here to help. Please see below for my areas of focus : MBA Applications I applied to HBS and Wharton in 2019 (R1) and was accepted into both schools. I also took the GMAT while working full-time in PE. I would be happy to coach on any of the below topics: - Full-time MBA admissions strategy - Resume review - Essay ideation process - Essay revisions - Interview preparation PE & IB Resume Review and Interview Prep I broke into investment banking (and subsequently private equity) coming from a liberal arts background and non-target school (Hamilton College is my alma matter). I have mentored 30+ undergrads and current investment bankers (via WSO and word-of-mouth referrals) on landing their dream IB or PE jobs and can help with the following: - Investing or consumer-retail specific career advice - IB and PE technical & behavioral interview prep - Resume reviews Outside of work, I love spending time with friends, baking for people, working out, and reading and writing. A theme around authenticity and ownership emerged during my HBS interview, and I think this is a reason why I was accepted. I can't wait to learn more about you and help you translate your own authentic experience into a compelling MBA application or job acceptance!
Why do I coach?
I find mentoring personally fulfilling and genuinely love getting to know the people I work with. I have now mentored in a formal capacity for over a decade. One of the best things about mentorship is maintaining relationships with former mentees as we progress in our careers.
