Tom’s MBA Qualifications
10+ people coached for MBA
As a recent graduate of UC Berkeley's MBA/MPH program, I’m passionate about helping others achieve their personal and professional aspirations. During my time at Haas, I gained unique insights into the MBA admissions process as an official student ambassador interacting with hundreds of applicants. I also worked in the career center, where I reviewed dozens of resumes and cover letters and led mock interviews for roles in healthcare, tech, and consulting. As a public speaking coach, I supported 25 students, including non-native English speakers, in building confidence and communication skills. When I applied to MBA programs, I worried that my non-linear career path and undergraduate grades would hold me back. By crafting and executing upon a clear application strategy, I earned scholarships to multiple T15 schools, including my dream program. I understand the challenges of navigating this process and want to help you present your best self to admissions committees. Let’s work together to make your MBA goals a reality!

About Tom
I'm a recent MBA/MPH graduate from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business. As a student, I served as an official admissions ambassador and career coach to hundreds of students. Now, I enjoy using my own experiences to help people identify their strengths and put together their best business school application. Three years ago, I was nervous about applying to business school. My career path made sense to me but looked haphazard on paper, and my undergrad grades were mediocre. It was only after meeting with current MBAs and hearing their encouragement that I even felt ready to apply. With my mentors' support, I turned my applicant profile's weak spots into discussion topics in essays and interviews and ended up receiving admissions offers and scholarships totaling $200,000 from my two top-choice schools. As an admissions coach, I bring empathy, humor and attention to detail to every session. Whether we're brainstorming your essays, doing last-minute interview prep or negotiating your financial aid package, I'll help you feel prepared and excited for the next step of your admissions journey.
Why do I coach?
I succeeded in (and enjoyed!) the MBA admissions process thanks to the support of friends and strangers alike. They hyped me up when I doubted myself reviewed my essays with a sharp but sympathetic eye and celebrated my interviews and offers with me. Now, having graduated from school, I want to provide that support to the next generation of MBA and graduate students.
