About Tom

I'm a recent MBA/MPH graduate from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business. As a student, I served as an official admissions ambassador and career coach to hundreds of students. Now, I enjoy using my own experiences to help people identify their strengths and put together their best business school application. Three years ago, I was nervous about applying to business school. My career path made sense to me but looked haphazard on paper, and my undergrad grades were mediocre. It was only after meeting with current MBAs and hearing their encouragement that I even felt ready to apply. With my mentors' support, I turned my applicant profile's weak spots into discussion topics in essays and interviews and ended up receiving admissions offers and scholarships totaling $200,000 from my two top-choice schools. As an admissions coach, I bring empathy, humor and attention to detail to every session.
