Why do I coach?
Reading between the lines while seeing the picture as a whole is an art. When I started helping graduate school applicants since my master's in law at Columbia, I realized that my perspective is most valuable in helping people see aspects about themselves they usually are not aware of, to create a full, well-rounded story. Every aspect of the application, including the CV, recommendations, and of course - the statement of purpose, should all together tell a coherent, empowered, and inspiring story, where each part should illuminate a different aspect of who you are. Crafting a creative, thought provoking, and exciting application is what I became most passionate about with coaching. What fuels me the most is seeing how applicants move from feeling intimidated and insecure about their prospects to feeling empowered by their own new found ability to reframe their story and realize how accomplished and worthy they are. Suddenly, the person that shines through the application materials is a new version of themselves they rarely get a chance to see. It helped me unlock the future I want for my self and for many I had the privilege to support.
