Tate’s College Qualifications
Coaches professionally
As a second-generation college student from a small rural town and public school background, I know firsthand how to stand out in elite college admissions. My journey led to acceptances at some of the nation's most selective institutions, including Stanford, Princeton, Dartmouth, UPenn, Williams, and Emory, where I ultimately attended as a Robert W. Woodruff Scholar – the university's most prestigious merit award providing a full scholarship. What sets my coaching apart is my deep understanding that successful college admissions isn't just about grades and test scores – it's about crafting an authentic and compelling personal narrative. Coming from a rural public school background, I learned how to transform what might seem like limitations into powerful differentiators that caught the attention of admissions officers at both top research universities and liberal arts colleges. I'm passionate about helping students, especially those from non-traditional backgrounds, navigate the complex college admissions landscape. Whether you're aiming for Ivy League universities, elite liberal arts colleges, or selective scholarship programs, I can help you identify and articulate your unique story in a way that resonates with admissions committees. Having successfully walked this path myself, I bring both practical expertise and genuine empathy to help you achieve your college dreams.

About Tate
As a former BCG consultant and dedicated career coach at Emory University's Goizueta Business School, I've guided hundreds of students from diverse backgrounds to successful consulting careers at MBB and beyond. My journey began as a Robert W. Woodruff Scholar at Emory (their highest merit award), where I graduated with highest distinction before joining BCG as both a Summer Associate and full-time Associate. What sets my coaching apart is my diagnostic approach – I meet candidates exactly where they are in their journey, whether they're seasoned casers looking to polish their skills or just beginning to explore consulting as a career path. Through my roles as both a Professional Career Management Center coach and head of Emory's Consulting Club, I've developed a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to succeed in consulting recruitment, from networking to case interviews. Having experienced both sides of the interview table, I bring unique insight into both interviewer-led and interviewee-led case formats. My hundreds of hours of mock interview experience have helped candidates consistently land offers at top firms. I'm passionate about consulting as the ideal launchpad for any career, and I take pride in helping others achieve their professional goals through personalized, targeted coaching that adapts to each candidate's specific needs and stage in the recruitment process.
