Steven’s FP&A Qualifications
Experience level: Manager
Steven has helped clients get into these companies:
My previous function was an FP&A Manager at LinkedIn for two business lines (1 advertising, 1 subscription) for $XXX M in revenue. I have experience in forecasting, performance management, analytics via SQL, and stakeholder management between R&D or executives. I have been a rotational analyst in Microsoft's leader developing Finance Rotation Program as well as moved up from financial analyst to senior analyst to manager at LinkedIn. I have experience interviewing FP&A candidates up to the Manager level so can provide perspective from the other side of the table. I'd be happy to work with you to review your resume, cover networking tips, and do interview prep for a variety of FP&A roles!

About Steven
I get to work on the Jobs Marketplace product at LinkedIn (AI applications similar to ads marketplace design, e.g. recommendation & auction systems). I started in product management after stints in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) at both LinkedIn and Microsoft. I graduated from the University of Washington Seattle with a bachelor's degree in finance. I feel like I've found my long-term career in product management. In addition to loving the team and company I work with, I find myself enjoying the type of work that product allows. It's fresh and fun with new problem definition, validation, and solving.
Why do I coach?
I find career journeys fascinating - deciding how to navigate your career requires a thoughtful self-awareness that can (and should!) always be challenged. I'd love to chat with you through your journey. Professionally I've been interested in marketplaces, profitability focus, along with product strategy. I've advised a few peers through various stages of their career (choosing the next step, interview prep, compensation negotiation) as well as currently advise a seed-stage company through its journey to product-market fit. Personally, I'm interested in topics like personal finance, real estate, and climate change among others.
