I went through many weardrobe changes to find what I love doing. I started off at Microsoft on a backend data team - but quickly learned that wasn't it. I used my skills that I learned to move to Slack where I really learned how to be a true product manager. And from there - I've been seeking constant challenges in a space that interstes me: connecting people on the internet. I've been there, and done that and am here to help you navigate your career moves that will make your work life a happy place.

About Sri
👋🏼 I'm Sri, a product manager at Reddit. I am passionate about connecting people to communities on the internet - which explains a lot of my resume. I currently work on community chat at Reddit, and previously was at Discord, Slack and Microsoft. I originally wanted to be a software engineer, and went to University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and majored in Computer Science. But quickly on, I learned that the thing I really enjoyed about engineering was more about the problem solving, and less about the coding. After I got my first big break at Microsoft, I knew I found my dream job. Aside from work, I truly enjoy the great outdoors and am a national park enthusiast. I've been nomading the last few years and have been to almost every national park in the US. I have about 10 more left :) HMU to chat about the outdoors, your latest animal encounters, work, life, the internet, product, anything!
Why do I coach?
I am a coach because I had to learn everything the hard way - and I'm a firm believer to work smarter, not harder. I come from a family of immigrants who moved to the states, and had to figure a lot of things on my own, a new language, American culture, college applications, career changes, the whole life thing. And I've learned a lot, and was thankfully supported by a great community. I'm here to help guide you through your tough decisions - and help shed some light with some of the experiences I had. Or just be a listening ear. I'm an elder sister to many, and am here to help you in any way you need.

🚀 PM on Growth and Core Product 1️⃣ Worked on Growth and led all user resurrection initiatives, including notification campaigns and email/marketing campaigns 2️⃣ Drove millions of MAU with a small, yet nimble team of three engineers by: - Creating the first machine learning based notification campaigns at Discord from ground up by building user targeting models, scanning and aggregating content and incorporating safety and privacy models. - Utilizing the ML-powered notification systems and launching multiple notification and content experiments. 3️⃣ Led initiatives to expand product to newer audiences by improving the mobile experience and achieving parity with competitors 4️⃣ Product lead for the Discord username change - an company-wide effort to normalize identity across the product. - The change was polarizing the customer + employee base but was integral to make Discord more approachable because it removed a complicated (but sentimental) feature, decreased product debt and made it easier to find and connect with friends on Discord. - Drove cross-functional work streams E2E to land the usernames change successfully. This included legal/policy, revenue, safety, CX, creators and external partnership teams - and at least a hundred individuals. Notification, Analytical Skills and +5 skills
