Career Peer Educator

Career Peer Educators (CPEs) are full-time undergraduates who serve as a bridge between the Career Center and students. They support the UVA Career Center mission by expanding the Career Center's ability to reach students through staffing office hours, giving outreach workshops, and supporting career community programs. CPEs strive to empower students to feel confident in their career development by equipping them with personalized resources and sharing relevant peer experiences. Career Peer Educators serve as ambassadors of the Career Center to the student body, and are trained by career counselors on various aspects of the career planning process – everything from interviewing and job search resources to resume and cover letter reviews – so that CPEs can offer one-of-a-kind advice as student leaders for their peers on almost any career-related topic. CPEs accomplish these objectives and interact with the student body through office hours, outreach & workshops, and career center support!

VITA Tax Volunteer

Assisted low-income Charlottesville families and individuals to e-file their taxes on a weekly basis; IRS-certified (Advanced &) Volunteer Income Tax Assistant (V.I.T.A)

Accommodations Access Fund Director

Served as the Director of the Accommodations Access Fund under the Support and Access Services Branch of UVA Student Council. This fund helps provide funds to those seeking the required paperwork for qualifying to receive accommodations from UVA's Student Disability Access Center (SDAC).

Lead Manager

Served as an ambassador of UVA by calling alumni, parents, and friends to seek monetary support of funds, organizations, and programs on Grounds, along with maintaining accurate records. Have gone from Student Fundraiser to Lead Fundraiser, to Manager, and then finally Lead Manager. Lead Fundraisers operate as mentors and training resources for Student Fundraisers and represent University Advancement well. Managers help manage shifts and the CRM for alumni contacts, and Lead Managers oversee the manager team and engage with the overall University for initiatives. Have raised over $60,000 independently.

Summer Business Analyst

Created strategic recommendations for internal recruiting team to optimize a $401,000 budget, driving diversity and inclusion in hiring through targeted outreach and innovative recruitment strategy (for MBA hires, experienced hires, and campus undergraduate hires). Designed and implemented a PowerBI dashboard to track and report DEI statistics for YTD employees, 2023 New Hires, Utilization, and Attrition, specifically focusing on historically underrepresented groups (HUGs) such as Latinos, Hispanics, Blacks, and African Americans.
