About Roland

HI! I'm Roland. I've accepted a place in the Columbia Business School Deferred MBA Program. I have had extensive experience through the application process and will help provide you with the information you need! I currently work in investment banking at Lazard, in their Consumer Retail team in New York. Previously I worked in Investment Banking in Australia, and have interned in equity research and funds management prior. During undergrad, I managed a student investment fund, co-founded and led the poker society, and taught first-year statistics for the business school. I have also recently served as Marketing Director and board member of the Melbourne Mustangs, a Melbourne-based semi-professional Ice Hockey club. My leadership experience has helped me gain diverse perspectives and empowers me to work with students from all walks of life, regardless of your background. As your coach, I am adaptive towards your needs. I can give you space to piece your own stories together or take a more hands-on approach -- it's all up to you. I feel comfortable toggling back and forth between both styles as we go through the process as well, depending on what is best for you at each stage.
