About Randall
I am a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of both the finance and entertainment industries. I most recently worked on the Investment Banking Team at CAA Evolution, CAA's Merchant Bank focused on Media, Entertainment, and Sports. In this role, I leveraged my expertise in high-profile transactions to advise clients on complex financial strategies and market opportunities within these dynamic sectors including the majority sale of Dude Perfect to Highmount Capital and the sale of Peaky Blinders to Banijay. Before joining CAA, I served as an Associate at Guggenheim Partners in the TMT Group, where I contributed to major transactions across the media landscape, including Chicken Soup for the Soul's acquisition of Redbox and the sale of Eleven Sports to DAZN. I started my career in the ICM Mailroom in Hollywood, ultimately spending three years at the firm, most recently as a literary agent representing screenwriters and directors in the Motion Picture Group. My diverse background includes internships at top industry players such as WME, Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way (Shutter Island, The Wolf of Wall Street), The Donners' Company (X-Men, Deadpool), and The Walsh Company (Manchester by the Sea, Thoroughbreds). I am also a published thought leader, having written for Forbes on topics like the future of theatrical film and virtual production technologies. I hold degrees in Economics and Film/Media Studies from Lafayette College where I graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. I received my MBA from Columbia Business School and can help guide MBA applicants through the admissions process, in addition to the complex recruiting process for investment banking roles. With a unique blend of finance, media, and entertainment expertise, I am passionate about helping prospective MBA candidates and fture bankers navigate their admissions and career journies!
Why do I coach?
I’ve seen firsthand how coaching can truly transform careers, and it’s why I’m fully committed to the people I work with. The passion and drive of my clients, especially those aspiring to be future leaders, constantly inspire me. For me, MBA admissions and career coaching go beyond just helping clients with a process—they’re an opportunity to guide individuals through some of the most pivotal moments in their careers and lives. It’s about creating a roadmap for ongoing growth and career renewal. We live in a complex system, and having help navigating is critical for success. I wouldn't be here without great coaching along the way. During application season, I take on a select group of clients from a range of industries around the world, working closely with them to shape their stories and set them up for success. Many of these relationships don’t end once the applications are submitted—they evolve into long-term career coaching partnerships and friendships that continue to grow well beyond the MBA journey.
