As a marketer, I love helping students craft their stories with an eye to what makes them unique. I've worked with students across 5+ admissions cycles to help them gain admission to some of the top universities in the country, including Harvard, Johns Hopkins, and UC Berkeley, and many have received full rides. I hold an MBA from UCLA, a Certificate in College Counseling from UCSD, and a bachelor's from Wellesley College.

About Rachel
Like a lot of immigrant kids, I grew up in a Chinese buffet restaurant in Massachusetts. My dad worked in software; my mom worked 70-hour weeks at the restaurant. My dad had a master's degree; my mom didn't have a bachelor's. It was clear to me from an early age that if I wanted an easier life than my mom, I would need to get myself into college. I sought out every resource I could to get through that process since my parents were unable to help. Since 2017, I've worked pro bono with high school students who will be among the first in their families to attend college. After they begin college, I love to keep in touch, ask how the transition is going, and keep an eye out for internship and study abroad opportunities that I think will interest them. I am a huge believer that students need an adult outside of their families that are invested in their happiness and success. Coaching others brings me a lot of joy. Feel free to reach out if you would like to work together!
