Management consulting is a prestigious and lucrative career path with great exit options to business school and executive roles, and because of that it's very competitive to break into. But you already know that. As an undergrad at Princeton, I received offers from every consulting firm I applied to. After joining McKinsey, I was heavily involved in recruiting, read hundreds of resumes, and was trained to do interviews. While at McKinsey and since then, I've done countless resume reviews and mock interviews with friends and clients to give them the best chance at getting an offer. I was trained to give high-quality, realistic mock interviews (both personal and case) and can give you feedback from the lens of someone who knows how firms assess candidates.

About Neil
Hi, I'm Neil! Growing up in New Jersey, I wanted to go far from home for college... So I went all of 30 miles away to Princeton. After graduating, I worked at McKinsey, then went to Stanford for my MBA. Now, I work in private equity. When I was applying to college, I felt like a "typical" applicant. I was a strong academic student, but didn't feel like I was unique or had any special skills or attributes. However, I managed to put together an application that showcased what made me different, and got into 4 Ivy League schools, Duke, and UChicago. I found myself in the same situation applying to Stanford's MBA program: a former consultant trying to stand out. I worked so hard on my applications and was proud of the essays I wrote since they showed who I was, not just what I did. Along the way, I've developed differentiated insight into how to stand out from the crowd. At McKinsey, I was heavily involved in recruiting, resume review, and was interview-trained. And at Stanford, I was an admissions ambassador. I've helped many of my friends and clients get into great schools and get jobs they love. I'm excited to help you accomplish your life and career goals! If you're a college or MBA applicant looking to differentiate yourself from applicants with similar backgrounds... I was once in your shoes and can help you build a complete application package that helps you shine. If you're looking to break into competitive consulting firms, I have experience helping applicants excel at both personal and case interviews. Feel free to schedule a free consultation to determine if we’re a good fit to work together, and so we can develop a custom coaching plan for your needs. If you're in the Bay Area, I'm also happy to work with you in person. I live in San Francisco and outside of work you can find me playing basketball, reading sci-fi, and walking my 3-month old puppy named Magic.
Why do I coach?
I spent countless hours the summer after my sophomore year of high school studying for the SAT with a coach who helped me believe in myself. I got a perfect score. I did dozens of practice case interviews with a friend during college and passed every case interview I took, ultimately landing at McKinsey. When applying to business school, a coach helped me find the threads through my life and experiences that made me stand out from other “typical” applicants, and helped me get into Stanford. At each critical juncture in my life - getting into college, getting a job, and applying to MBA programs, I’ve been lucky to have support from people who helped me be the best version of myself. At each stage, I tried to pay it forward - I tutored for SATs and math classes, helped many of my friends ace their job interviews, and now I coach college, MBA, and consulting applicants. I coach because I believe education and the right career path can change lives. And I want to help people get into their dream schools and find their perfect fit career. As a coach, I know my job isn’t to "teach" or "edit" - it’s to help my clients uncover, feel like, and display their best selves.
