About Mary
After 17 years as a marketer, I made a career shift to Coaching, higher education and supporting others with their career journeys. Coaching now for 14+ years, I am a collaborative partner guiding my clients and MBA students to accomplish their professional goals. I build strong relationships by understanding the unique needs of my clients, earning their trust, and asking insightful questions that can guide them to solutions. In addition to my private coaching practice and work with the Kellogg School of Management, I offer pro-bono coaching through The Marketing Academy and ACP Advisors. Coaching Competencies I specialize in helping professionals navigate strategic career planning and various workplace situations. My coaching services include: • End-to-end career planning, recruitment, offer negotiation, and onboarding • Assessment tools, performance feedback, and goal setting • Marketing materials and personal branding • Interview preparation and successful engagement in the recruiting process • Negotiating job offers • Strategies for effectively handling challenging situations in the workplace • Say This Instead: I help professionals find the right words during interviews, offer negotiations, over challenging topics with their boss and many other situations. The Interview Expert | Interview Readiness As an experienced communicator, I help my clients succeed in the recruiting process, whether it's during initial phone or Zoom interviews or later stages. Many people lack strong interviewing skills, which can become unpracticed over time. My coaching services focus on preparing clients for interviews by providing guidance on every aspect of the process, including interview readiness and planning. Hiring companies I have worked with include: Google, Amazon, Apple, Adobe, Abbvie, Meta, Salesforce, Discover, Walgreens, Allstate, Wayfair, JPM Chase, Prophet Marketing, McDonalds, Ocean Spray, Kraft Heinz, Bain & Co., PwC Digital, Nike and many more. My clients and students have successfully landed roles in: brand marketing, digital media, e-commerce, marketing communication, marketing analytics, product management, project management, program marketing management, digital transformation and other tech roles, digital consulting, marketing consulting, management consulting, corporate finance, investment banking and leadership development programs.
Why do I coach?
Because I like helping people find career and professional success. The wide variety of professionals I get to support - from recent college grads to those experienced with two or more decades into their career is gratifying. Helping others to discover what might be the next chapter in their career, or to resolving a difficult professional matter is rewarding. Starting my day with an email that reads...."I got the offer!" is always a highlight of the week.
