Machmud has helped clients get into these schools:

I have written roughly ten applications for graduate fellowship programs and was fortunate to be awarded the Rhodes, Truman, and Knight-Hennessy Scholarships to fund the entirety of my graduate education. I've also worked with dozens of applicants with these programs and love helping others find programs that align with their goals, present themselves authentically, and ultimately have fulfilling experiences in graduate school. I have deep expertise in the entire process, from selecting recommenders to writing essays to ultimately interviewing. My students have applied to programs ranging from law school to MBAs to masters and doctorate program in the natural sciences, humanities, and social sciences, so if you're interested in a graduate fellowship please reach out!

About Machmud

Hi! I'm a Stanford JD/MBA and coach admissions for both schools, as well as fellowship programs like Rhodes, Knight-Hennessy, and Schwarzman. More importantly, I'm also a first-generation immigrant from Uzbekistan and have been incredibly lucky to have lived out my dreams in some cool places since then. A metro Atlanta, Georgia native, I played baseball at Oberlin College, where I picked up the political bug and earned a Truman Scholarship for leadership in public service. After graduating, I was awarded the Rhodes Scholarship and read for an MPhil in Political Theory at the University of Oxford. I then worked for four years in a variety of political and public policy-focused roles, including on the Biden 2020 campaign's policy team and at the White House as part of the COVID Response team. I'm now at Stanford's Graduate School of Business and Stanford Law School as a JD/MBA candidate & Knight-Hennessy Scholar and have spent my summers in corporate Big Law firms while also keeping a foot in public service as the Chief of Staff to a Georgia State Representative and Founder of Law School Democrats of America, a progressive voting-rights focused non profit. In my free time I'm golfing, reading, traveling with friends, and eating everything that gets in front of me.

Why do I coach?

Coaching is important to me because I've lived the complexities, hidden rules, successes, and failures behind any resume or application. My family came to the United States when I was one, and growing up in metro Atlanta I didn't know anybody who was a corporate or political professional. Since I got to college, understanding the significant challenges that come with navigating the world when you have big dreams but few connections was eye-opening, and I've spent hundreds of hours coaching and mentoring others through law school and business school applications, elite graduate fellowship applications, and career decisions related to politics, public service, and corporate Big Law to try and open up pathways to people who otherwise wouldn't have them. I've helped friends land roles at the White House, get accepted to law schools like Yale, Stanford, and Harvard, and even win awards like the Rhodes, Truman, Marshall, and Schwarzman Scholarships. I also care a lot about happiness and work-life balance in high-octane environments, and love working with people to figure out how to not only get the job of their dreams, but live the life of their dreams. If I can help with any of the above, please reach out, I'd love to meet you!
