About Luke
The path to VC or entrepreneurship isn't easy. Leverage my experience to chart your own course. My path was circuitous, with most of the time spent in the startup world. Some context below & reach out for advice - I'd love to help! At bswift, I contributed to a rapidly growing company - when I interned there were 50 people and by the time I left after the $400M acquisition by Aetna, I had 450 coworkers. At the core of my experience was learning how to create an amazing user experience. After that, I joined an early stage fintech startup where I led teams across Romania, Israel, and the US. I rounded out my product experience at a Series C stage startup, focusing my attention on reporting, APIs, and integration. I led initiatives like creating an organization wide North Star metric to guide our company to outcomes instead of just building features. In all, I worked for three venture-backed startups before transitioning into VC full-time at M25, the most active seed stage firm in the Midwest. I leveraged my Booth MBA and experience at M25 to level up to one of the most prolific angel funds in the world, FJ Labs. I am now a Principal at New Stack where I invest in founders that are often overlooked.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I find great satisfaction in helping others succeed and reach their goals. Having received guidance and support from mentors throughout my own career, I believe in paying it forward and supporting others on their journey.
