About Lisa

Over the last 15+ years I have been fortunate enough to work at two incredible companies, American Express and LinkedIn, as a people leader. Over this time, I have been able to coach the various people on my teams to achieve personal and professional success. I find joy in bringing out the best in people and love to be part of their transformation process. My personal goal is to change the career/personal trajectory for those I have the privilege to coach. I have been part of and built numerous coaching, mentorship and sponsorship programs. Through these opportunities, I have focused on getting to know the person, meeting them where they are and understanding where they want to go. I have also had numerous speaking engagements at local colleges and universities and through Rippleworks Leaders Studio, focused on leading with authenticity and vulnerability, transparent communication, networking and job search strategies.

Why do I coach?

I coach because I believe that many of us have more potential than we believe we do. Through coaching, people can uncover new ways of thinking about challenges, clarity around their career, a fresh perspective on leadership approaches and more. I gain so much energy from speaking with new people and going on their journey of self-discovery and transformation. For me, I didn't grow up understanding how important coaches and mentors were. As a result, my early career was not as smooth as I would have hoped and I did not maximize my potential. After going to business school, I become acutely aware of how important a mentor and a coach is in my career progression. While I still faced career setbacks and challenges, being able to leverage the knowledge ff my network allowed me to be more resilient.

Focused on increasing the diversity of candidates/ new hires and identifying ways to develop, grow and retain diverse talent in the long run. - Global Sales Sponsor with a focus on upskilling all people-leaders (600+ leaders) to more effectively build diverse teams, lead inclusively and foster a sense of belonging. Sponsor three pillar teams (Inclusive Recruiting, Growth and Development and Environment of Belonging) as they develop a global DEIB strategy, with a regional approach. - Created monthly mentor circle program focused on engaging Black and Latino talent early in their LinkedIn career.
