About Kevin

Hi, my name is Kevin Truong, and it is a pleasure to meet you! Having found a coach on Leland while applying to deferred MBA programs, I'm excited to return to the platform as a coach myself. Background: I was raised in the city of Stockton, CA and am now based in Boston. For undergrad, I attended UC Berkeley and was admitted into the Haas School of Business. During college, I was actively involved with various organizations on campus including a social fraternity, multiple finance clubs, and even started my own non-profit focused consulting club. Some of my hobbies and interests include education equity, video games, Marvel media, Netflix shows, and Star Wars. Why do I coach?

I coach because I'm am the first person in my family to go to college and will also be the first to pursue a graduate degree. As such, I understand the struggle some people face during the application process, especially if they come from an underrepresented background in higher education. I thoroughly enjoy mentoring people and seek to really help students put their best foot forward in the application process.
