During my MBA, I endeavored to land an early-stage climate tech VC internship abroad. I hoped to explore both the venture capital industry, and a foreign market (Germany/EU) over the span of a single summer, and recruited aggressively in pursuit of that goal. Through the journey I learned a lot about VC recruiting (through guidance from mentors, advice from friends, and trial and error), and landed a fantastic internship at Cherry Ventures in Berlin. Having been on both sides of the VC table now (prior experience supporting 3+ rounds of fundraising at a climate fintech unicorn), I now help people navigate the long road into venture capital without prior investing experience.
