Katherine’s Venture Capital Qualifications
Experience level: Associate
Katherine has helped clients get into these companies:
Prior to attending HBS I spent two years as an Investment Associate at the largest dedicated foodtech / agtech venture capital fund where I managed 30+ investments and advised 16 portfolio companies. I landed this role over dozens of finance applicants having no prior finance work experience and having gone to a state school. I want to help clients break into venture capital investing regardless of their background. Let's work together to build your technical acumen and craft your story for why you are a singularly qualified candidate for the role.

About Katherine
I'm an enthusiastic and resourceful professional with a decade of experience in venture capital, entrepreneurship and strategy consulting and an MBA from Harvard Business School. My 99th percentile GMAT score and prior work experience for a test prep company inform my approach to GMAT / GRE prep, but I know that the MBA application process is about more than just a test. I help my clients craft unique, holistic application materials that reflect their qualifications beyond scores and resume bullet points. As part of in addition to my admissions guidance I offer career coaching to help clients articulate what they want to get out of their MBA program and why. My versatile career across finance, consulting, and entrepreneurship as well as my prior experience as a career coach at HBS have informed my unique perspective on how to pivot between industries and get the most return on a top tier MBA program. As a career coach I have helped friends and clients (particularly those with non-target backgrounds) break into consulting and venture capital and also advise fellow early-stage startup founders. My overall ethos is to help clients find what makes them different and use that as a strength.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I have benefitted immensely from formal and informal mentors throughout my career and appreciate the unique perspective that can be provided by someone who has already been where you want to go. I also delight in seeing people achieve their full potential and want to support my clients' goals however I can.
