About Josh
- COACHING EXPERIENCE: I've been coaching for a long-time in my 15-year career and more recently as a dad :) Coaching is >30% of my day job as the Head of Product, Design, and Product Marketing at a scaleup. - PRODUCT & CONSULTING: Functionally, I went from PM -> consulting -> PM. I helped many colleagues & mentees break into Product & Consulting (there's a playbook to it). I would love to help you break into product & consulting, make the most of your time in those fieds, get promoted (especially into management roles), and transition out of those fields profitably as well. - GOING ABROAD: Geographically, I've taken my career abroad twice (US -> LatAm, US -> Europe) and helped many transition into the US as well (from Europe & India). I want to help others embark on international adventures, too. - MBA: Academically, I can also coach you on whether to do an MBA, how to get in, and how to make the most of it (the last part is crucial). I got into 5 of the top 7 programs (no HBS, waitlist at Stanford) and learned a lot from my admissions consultant back then. - NETWORKING: I'd be happy to coach you and also connect you with my network where relevant (Note: You should first work with me as a coach... I don't want to monetize my network). But more importantly, I'll teach you how to network for long-term career and personal connections. - AMSTERDAM: I can do in-person sessions in Amsterdam (not many people offer it).
Why do I coach?
Life is short. Hence, I like to maximize "impact per hour" of my time, where the impact can be in terms of business, customer, and people (i.e. improving career trajectories and achieving personal dreams). In the past decade, I've been recognized as a great coach & mentor at work across 3-4 very different companies, functions, and geographies. I've successfully hired and developed experienced managers and college grads alike, and helped people make key transitions (e.g. changing functions, getting a manager role, or going abroad). So, I want to apply my coaching skill to broaden my people impact.

WeTravel
February 2024 - Present
Hiring Manager
Leading PMs, designers, and PMMs at a Series-B startup in the Netherlands. Happy to advise others on how to land their first Head of Product role (how to network & position yourself is the key).
Head of Product - International Expansion
Faire
July 2021 - December 2023
Hiring Manager
Led product, bizops, finance, and other functions to expand Faire (wholesale marketplace) to Europe and Australia. This was a 0->1 startup within a startup where I was leading the product and had P&L responsibilities. I would be happy to advise others on how to crush that leadership role.
Product Lead - Payments & Restaurant Tech
Uber
July 2018 - July 2021
Hiring Manager
Led several product teams in NYC, Amsterdam, and Hyderabad. Built those teams from the ground up, including hiring experienced managers, internal transfers into PM functions, and college hires (APM program). Happy to advise others on how to crush those interviews, especially for first-time PMs and first-time managers. Also happy to advise on setting up new tech sites and leading geo-distributed teams.
Engagement Manager
McKinsey & Company
August 2015 - July 2018
Hiring Manager
Promoted to an engagement manager early and led 10+ strategy and other projects for TMT & Healthcare clients. Top 5% rated ("distinctive"). Helped hire MBA grads as a campus lead for MIT Sloan. Happy to help folks get into MBB, crush it there, and get out especially into product.

Led payment expansion internationally and helped hire PMs and other functions (did not manage them).
