About Jose
I am bilingual in English and Spanish and hold a PCC certification as an executive coach. Over the past 16 years, I’ve cultivated a rich and varied professional journey, working extensively in the not-for-profit sector in key leadership roles such as CEO, COO, Major Gifts Officer, and Board Chair. These roles have given me firsthand insight into the challenges and opportunities leaders face when making decisions in high-stakes environments. This lived experience informs my coaching practice, where I partner with leaders to develop a gentler, more sustainable approach to driving impact and building a more just and equitable world. My coaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that vulnerability is not a weakness—it’s your superpower. By leaning into that vulnerability, you can unlock deeper self-awareness and authenticity, which fuels more meaningful connections and transformational growth. I coach with an emphasis on excellence, results, and self-acceptance, enabling my clients to lead with confidence, integrity, and purpose. In addition to my extensive leadership background, my journey is enriched by a foundation in the arts. I am a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where I honed my craft as an actor, followed by five years of work as a professional performer. This creative chapter of my life deeply influences my coaching approach. I bring an uncommon sensitivity, emotional intelligence, and discipline to my work with clients. I help them tap into their instincts, voice, gesture, and body as tools for authentic expression and self-realization. This holistic approach enables clients to access untapped potential, whether they are navigating professional challenges or stepping into new opportunities. I am particularly passionate about coaching leaders who aspire to create positive change in their organizations and communities. Whether working with veteran or emerging leaders, I help my clients align their actions with their values, embrace their noble purpose, and create spaces where equity, justice, and compassion are not just ideals but lived experiences. It is my mission to create a coaching environment where leaders feel supported to explore and grow. A space where they can integrate strategy with heart, and action with purpose.
Why do I coach?
I coach because coaching transformed my life. Fifteen years ago, I stepped into the role of Executive Director, filled with conviction but uncertainty about where to begin. Working with a coach gave me the tools to navigate complex challenges, make thoughtful decisions, and take purposeful actions. That guidance not only helped me lead my organization to a level of success I never thought possible but also shaped who I am as a leader. Now, I’m committed to paying it forward. As a coach, I thrive on helping my clients create space in their busy lives to reflect, prioritize, and move forward with clarity. My approach focuses on slowing down the rush of day-to-day demands to uncover meaningful insights, empowering my clients to make decisions with confidence and lead with authenticity. I work with leaders who are ready to embrace growth, navigate challenges, and build their own path to success—on their terms.
