Why do I coach?

I help guide students through the admissions and recruiting process because college was such a life-changing experience. I attribute every bit of success in my professional and personal life to the lessons I learned on the baseball field and in the classroom during those four years at Sonoma State. My experience led me to opportunities to travel the world (for free!), taught me how to deal with failure, showed me the power of hard work and determination, and introduced me to all of my life-long friends. I work hard every day to provide that experience to as many young people as possible.

I started a private practice as a college admissions advisor, personally working with every student through every piece of the application process. Together, we complete college lists, essays, applications, letters of recommendations, extracurriculars, and anything else that arises. I help take the stress out of what can be a very difficult time for many students and families.

I worked as a college planner for a company specializing in undergraduate admissions advising. I worked with students of all types to find best fits, create application plans, and write essays and complete applications from start to finish.

I held numerous roles at UC Berkeley from operations to fundraising to admissions. My final role was as the liaison between the athletics department and admissions office. I helped evaluate and advise incoming student-athletes on their applications and assisted them writing and submitting Personal Insight Questions.

Baseball Coach

August 2015 - August 2017

I served as Assistant Coach for University of the Pacific Baseball for two years. My responsibilities included leading all recruits through the admissions process, navigating the application, admissions, NCAA eligibility, medical eligibility, housing, and much more.

I served as Director of Operations for the USF Baseball Team. In that role, I supported recruiting activities for all incoming students.

I earned my Certificate in College Advising and Career Planning from UC Berkeley while simultaneously working in the Cal Athletics Department. I served as a liaison between the coaches, department and Undergraduate Admissions office helping read transcripts, applications and essays, and working with incoming students to obtain admissions in the highly competitive atmosphere at UC Berkeley.

I earned my Master's Degree while working as a Division-1 baseball coach and Director of Operations. This degree was designed to teach best practices for helping students navigate the strenuous life as a college student and athlete.

Sonoma State University

Bachelor's, History

2004 - 2009

I attended Sonoma State University as an undergrad. I majored in History, but my main purpose was playing baseball! I chose Sonoma State because it was constantly ranked as one of the best Division 2 schools in the country. During my time there, we were ranked #1 in the Nation, compiled a 26-game win streak, and went to the semi-finals of the College World Series.
