Jamie has helped clients get into these companies:
After being just 1 of a select 30 sophomore interns, at Bank of America, I progressed to complete a junior-year internship, and receive a full-time offer at the firm. Upon joining BofA full time within Global Capital Markets, I was promoted to Associate after two years of being a top-ranked analyst. During my four years I helped underwrite over $200B of capital market transactions.

About Jamie
I am an NYC resident, born and raised in New Jersey. My professional journey starts at a boarding school near Princeton, NJ to present day where I am a Venture Capital investor, focused on CPG and health & wellness companies. At Georgetown I majored in finance and minored in African American studies. This dynamic reflects how I have navigated life since — professionally focused on the numbers, while always finding a way to focus on the community and history I came from. I spent four years at Bank of America in Global Capital Markets — two years as an analyst and two as an associate. Even as an associate I was entrusted to cover select clients and execute nine-figure transactions on behalf of the bank. After four years as a top performer, I went to Harvard Business School, having been accepted to the Stanford GSB and two other programs. I used my time at HBS to transition to buy-side finance, namely Venture Capital. It has been an interesting path getting to this point, but I am grateful for the experiences I have had thus far, and relish in the opportunity to share key learnings others.
Why do I coach?
It is without doubt that I would not be where I am today without the unwavering support of my community, mentors, and sponsors. While someone’s success may look simple on paper, there is often so much support that existed behind the scenes to make success happen. Whether it was my first banking internship, navigating banking promotions, or applying to business school, there were individuals and organizations that lifted me up and helped me recognize and reach my full potential. This has what has brought me to Leland — there are so many underutilized resources out there for young students and professionals. I want to help people achieve their goals and avoid the common pitfalls myself or peers have experienced. If I can make anyone’s journey a bit less bumpy, I will!
