About Jake
I was fortunate to graduate from two top-tier universities with both my bachelor's and my MBA entirely paid for through scholarships. I'm the first person in my family to attend business school, and I'm eager to pass along the lessons that I learned while going through the application process. I would particularly love to work with those who (like myself) are non-business majors looking to make a career transition through gaining an MBA. I also have a passion for helping people from less affluent backgrounds. While in college, I worked as a Student Outreach Mentor for a college-readiness program called GEAR UP, helping underprivileged students prepare for the ACT, apply to college, and gain scholarships. This was a rewarding experience, and I appreciate the opportunity to continue coaching and mentoring people who are humble and driven. In addition to typical test prep and application coaching, I can also provide insight into common career pathways for MBA graduates. I received offers from blue chip companies in consulting (Bain) and CPG brand management (J&J) but opted for an internal strategy consulting role at a diversified healthcare and manufacturing company (3M). I'd welcome the opportunity to share my thought process and the pros and cons that I saw in each opportunity.
