About Jake
I'm a Virginia native who went to West Point for undergrad where I studied Systems Engineering. After graduating, I spent 5 years in the Army as a Field Artillery Officer, spending time in Colorado, Oklahoma, and Afghanistan. I started at Michigan-Ross School of Business in 2019 and focused on recruiting for consulting. Once I got my McKinsey offer, I started dedicating significant time to helping fellow MBAs sharpen up their resumes and prepare for consulting interviews. After Ross, I worked at McKinsey's Chicago Office for ~3.5 years - focusing on operations transformations for industrial clients. Today, I'm a coach with Leland helping clients land their dream offer!

Activities and societies: Men's Handball Team - Men’s Team Handball. 4-year participant in the Men’s Team Handball Club. Played in over 20 tournaments and was a Collegiate National Champion in 2014. Selected to Team USA after graduation but was unable to participate due to injury and Military obligations - Bachelor of Science, Systems Engineering. Developed an algorithm that identifies potential enemy ballistic missile launch sites so that intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance assets can focus on these areas. Algorithm was developed in conjunction with personnel from Lockheed Martin and was later utilized by active duty Army units. Presentation of this project resulted in winning 1st place in the Problem Solving in Systems Engineering category at the United States Military Academy Capstone Competition
