About Ishu
Hi, I’m Ishu Gupta. I help ambitious professionals and students navigate career crossroads with clarity, confidence, and purpose. Having transitioned from a social entrepreneur to a public policy leader—and earning a master’s degree from Harvard Kennedy School—I understand what it feels like to stand at a pivotal moment, unsure of the next step. My journey wasn’t traditional; it was built through passion, strategy, and the courage to embrace uncertainty. I founded my first organization at just 19 while still in college. After a decade of impactful work, I decided to pursue graduate school but had no mentor to guide me. So, I built my own system, developed a strategic approach, and secured admission to five Ivy League schools. For over 10 years, I’ve been consulting governments on innovation strategies and mentoring professionals and students worldwide. My approach is simple yet powerful: I listen deeply, identify your unique strengths, and equip you with actionable strategies to build a career you love. Whether you’re making a career transition, applying for competitive programs, or seeking direction, I’ll help you unlock new opportunities with confidence. Your career isn’t just about making the right decisions—it’s about making decisions right. Let’s design a path that truly fits you. Let’s get started.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I know this struggle firsthand. When I started my first organization at 19, I had no clear roadmap—just an idea, a vision, and a willingness to figure things out along the way. Through that journey, I realized how powerful mentorship, strategic decision-making, and resilience can be in shaping a meaningful career. That’s why I now dedicate myself to helping others navigate their own paths with greater clarity and confidence. I believe that every young adult deserves a career that excites them, aligns with their values, and brings them fulfillment—not just a job that pays the bills. Too often, I’ve seen talented individuals struggle with uncertainty, societal expectations, and self-doubt, unsure of how to turn their passion into a viable career. For over 10 years, I’ve been in mentorship roles, guiding students, professionals, and career changers through career transitions, self-discovery, and strategic growth. Coaching is not just something I do—it’s something I live. As a deep listener, I thrive on understanding each person’s unique aspirations and helping them craft a career strategy that fits them, not just what society expects of them. I coach because: ✔️ I want young adults to feel empowered, not lost, when making career decisions. ✔️ I believe in career pivots and possibilities, not just predefined paths. ✔️ I’ve seen firsthand how the right mentorship can change lives, and I want to be that mentor for others. ✔️ I love helping people see what’s possible for them, often before they even see it themselves.
