Serve as a mentor, role model, and advocate for pre-medical students, providing coaching, academic support, feedback, and guidance during the students’ journey to medical school.

Clinical Research Fellow

Contributed to numerous studies focused on advanced minimally invasive surgical outcomes and surgical quality improvement in a high-volume tertiary rectal cancer referral center. Performed end-to-end program management for two trials with preclinical robotic platforms, investigated long-term outcomes in older adults and early onset colorectal cancer patients, ensured a comprehensive institutional outcomes database was up to date, and led the center’s participation in a national collaborative project for “Watch and Wait” rectal cancer protocols. Scrubbed in the operating room and prepared pathological specimens for quality assessment.

Psychometrist

Administered and scored neuropsychological tests and assessments in the outpatient neurology center as well as inpatient setting on the epilepsy monitoring unit. Assisted clinicians in the assessment of pre- and post-surgical patients as well as various neurological and psychological conditions such as: epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, stroke, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, major depressive disorder, Parkinson’s disease, dementia with Lewy bodies, frontotemporal dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease.

Research Assistant

Worked alongside research staff and clinicians in the Brain Mapping and Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory with the study of verbal memory in patients with temporal lobe epilepsy. Functioned as an integral member of the research team consenting patients for the study, administering verbal memory tests to study participants, coding audio recordings of fMRI memory tasks, and entering patient data into the research database.

Registered Behavior Technician

Provided one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children ages 3-16 on the autism spectrum in the home and community setting. Engaged in Intensive Table Teaching (ITT) and Natural Environment Teaching (NET) under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
