Hannah’s MCAT Qualifications
Scored a 520 on the MCAT
Open to working with clients outside the U.S.
I took my MCAT prep very seriously, organizing a detailed plan and dedicating 400-500 hours to exam prep. My work paid off when I scored a 520 (128/129/132/131), which led me to receive medical school admissions offers at Harvard, Johns Hopkins, UCLA, and the University of Washington. During my gap years I tutored several students over the course of many months to help them achieve their target MCAT score. I have experience in setting up detailed study plans, content review, and testing strategies.

About Hannah
Hello! My name is Hannah Shapiro and I'm a first year at Harvard Medical School in the pathways program. I attended Tufts for my undergraduate degree where I majored in biopyschology and graduated in 2020 (summa cum laude). Throughout college I worked as a biology and genetics tutor and developed a passion for helping students succeed in the tough pre-med courses. Over the course of my time at Tufts I became very interested in substance use disorder research, and conducted projects abroad on drug and harm reduction policies in Switzerland and helped to develop a substance use curriculum at the Tufts Dental School. After graduating, I worked as a clinical research coordinator at McLean Hospital for three years on National Institute on Drug Abuse opioid use disorder research trials. During my gap years I tutored students on Wyzant to help them prepare for the MCAT and bump up their scores. I have helped students both with content preparation and study planning. When applying to medical school, I received interview invitations for 12 schools and acceptances to Harvard, Johns Hopkins, the University of Washington, and UCLA. I'm currently an M1 at Harvard Med and loving life!
Why do I coach?
The journey to medicine is long and arduous and I've benefited greatly from coaches and mentors throughout college, the MCAT studying process, and medical school applications. Having people several steps ahead of me guide me through the process was so imperative to my success and mental health. I believe that everyone has a really different path to medicine, and the art of application writing is learning how to channel that narrative so that ADCOM can see why you would be an invaluable member of the class. I really enjoy working with students and applicants and passing on my own institutional knowledge I've gained over the past few years. All prospective applicants hope that the process of taking the MCAT and preparing applications is something they'll have to go through only once - and if you work with me, I will help you set up a plan, stick to it, review any necessary content, go through essays, conduct interview prep, and overall know that you are putting your absolute best foot forward for the ADCOM. From one perfectionist to another - let's get you into your dream med school!
