Hi, I'm Gene. I have over a decade of experience in data science and analytics working with top tech companies in Silicon Valley. I currently lead Growth Data Science as a Senior Director at Instacart, and have previously worked at Facebook (now Meta), Google, and Capital One. I have experience working across the product stack - from marketing, to ads, to engagement, and now to growth. At Meta and now Instacart, I have performed hundreds of interviews and was a core member of the team that developed strategy and approach to hiring. I have coached several folks on my own teams, on other teams, and external clients to career growth into senior DS, staff DS, senior manager, and director roles at top tech companies. I'm passionate about helping leaders manage strong teams and grow their influence through their teams, thereby moving their career to the next level. I have a pragmatic, goal-oriented and deliberate approach to career growth which has had a proven track record of success for my own career, and that of my mentees and clients.
