Garrett’s Master’s Programs Qualifications

I've applied for several highly selective scholarship and fellowship programs and received the Schwarzman Scholarship and the Ramsey Scholarship (full ride merit scholarship at UGA) to fund my entire education. I'm a great fit for individuals applying who are applying to these programs with several years of work experience (particularly in business/finance). I'm also a great fit for people re-applying to these programs -- I applied for the Schwarzman Scholarship twice and can help individuals approach a re-application. I've helped several students from my alma mater win the Schwarzman Scholarship and am excited to help others do the same!

About Garrett

Hi! I help people build the skills, confidence, and narrative to achieve their professional goals. Specifically, I offer coaching for graduate school fellowships, management consulting, corporate strategy & bizops, and general career development. I spent 3 years as an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company, leading diverse workstreams for Fortune 500 and private equity clients across the media, technology, consumer, healthcare, and industrials sectors. My role also involved conducting resume reviews and spearheading recruiting efforts at the University of Georgia. As a Bain extern, I helped lead strategy and business development at AGBO, an independent film, TV, and gaming studio founded by the Russo Brothers. This fall, I'll pursue a Master's in Global Affairs at Tsinghua University as a Schwarzman Scholar. I've interviewed with and/or received offers from Bain, BCG, McKinsey, The Walt Disney Company, YouTube, NFL, Bank of America, Live Nation, Stubhub, NBCUniversal, and Night Media. I graduated summa cum laude with highest honors from the University of Georgia and was on a full-ride merit scholarship awarded to <5% of applicants. On campus, I served as managing partner of a student-run VC and was president of the economics society. Outside of work, I enjoy running marathons and ultramarathons, attending music festivals, and reviewing local restaurants. Ask me about discounts for UGA students and low-income professionals! Why do I coach?

I've seen firsthand how so much of the world's information is exchanged peer-to-peer. Unfortunately, success in life can be significantly impacted by where you live and who you know. Growing up as a public school kid in the Midwest, I didn't have access to these networks. I was fortunate to meet several mentors early in my college years who were instrumental in my personal and professional development. I'm now in a position to pay it forward and help support people who are following a similar path to what I pursued.
