About Ferdinand

Hey! Nice to meet you. I'm a first-gen college student with immigrant parents who came to the U.S. in search of greater opportunity. At a young age, I was very involved with my family's restaurant business, which grew my passion for business more broadly. From there, I went to the University of Chicago where I majored in Economics (Phi Beta Kappa). Post-college, I pursued a career in investment banking with the goal of developing a strong technical skillset. In search of greater impact and responsibility, I joined Onex as a generalist private equity associate. After spending two years there, I realized I wanted to take the skillsets I developed and return to small business. I applied to business school and ultimately graduated from Harvard with my MBA. Post-MBA, I now run a long-term hold investment vehicle dedicated to investing and building businesses over a multi-decade time horizon (think private equity with a more operational twist).
