As a career coach, I bring a unique perspective and a wealth of personal experiences to help individuals navigate their professional journeys. Having switched careers multiple times—from being a start-up co-founder to running my own design agency to working as a management consultant—I understand the challenges and uncertainties that come with pursuing different paths. I have personally grappled with the expectations and dreams of others, and it is through this self-reflection that I have developed a deep understanding of the importance of evaluating life priorities and defining success on one's own terms. In our coaching sessions, my approach is centered around you and your overall well-being, with a particular focus on mental health. I believe that true career satisfaction is rooted in aligning your work with your values and finding fulfillment beyond financial stability. We will engage in open and meaningful conversations, delving into your life story and exploring the experiences that have shaped you. Together, we will uncover what truly makes you happy and develop strategies to prioritize your mental health and overall well-being throughout your career journey. What sets me apart as a coach is my genuine care and desire to connect with you on a human level. I have a proven track record of guiding and mentoring individuals, providing candid yet empathetic advice. Colleagues and friends have sought my objective feedback and valued my ability to offer insights in a compassionate and relatable manner. Furthermore, my passion for helping others has been recognized by my therapist, who has encouraged me to share my knowledge and support as a potential therapist. I also authored a self-help book targeting high-functioning, high-performing individuals, providing further evidence of my commitment to helping others evaluate their lives and priorities. With me as your career mentor, you can expect a genuine and honest relationship built on regular communication, transparency, and a shared understanding of your unique journey. Together, we will work to uncover your true passions and navigate the complexities of the career landscape, ensuring that your choices align with your personal goals and aspirations. I am here for you because I understand the importance of having someone in your corner, supporting you as you make crucial career decisions and helping you create a fulfilling and purpose-driven professional life.

About Emily
BIO: Prior to spending two years at McKinsey, I was a branding designer and did not have a traditional background going into consulting. In fact, when I applied for internships, I was rejected from every consulting firm because I was not prepared and was extremely unaware of the process behind recruiting. It took much for me to finally understand what went into the recruitment process and I was fortunate to land a position at McKinsey. Since then, I dedicated my two years to Chicago and New York's early experience recruiting teams, and was a trained interviewer for a year. I specialized in case interviewing, but became extremely familiar with everything from the resume to behaviorals to the case interview. However, because I had gone into recruiting not understanding anything myself, I wanted to help candidates become best equipped to face any consulting interview process. Now, as a coach, I know that the best way I can help candidates is through getting to know them and who they are -- where they come from, their motivations, their hopes, and therefore, how I can support their recruiting journey. I hope I can help my students through not just consulting but also through other hurdles in their professional lives. I'm looking forward to meeting you and learning more about how we can work together! ----------- PROFESSIONAL COACHING: Since 2024, I've taken coaching as a major part of my own career development. I've coached over 40 candidates now and always enjoy getting to know more every year. Please let me know any feedback you might have for how I can better improve what I do for you! I prepare all my cases myself, as well as materials, resources, decks, exercises to support my coaching. Again, please let me know if there might be anything I can create and prepare for you. _________ HOW TO PREPARE FOR OUR TIME TOGETHER: Please feel free to let me know in advance anything that would help me get to know you better. Anything is great -- your educational background, your professional experiences, timelines you might have coming up. I want to hear it all. ----------- CANCELLATION POLICY: As an interview coach, I carefully structure my day around the sessions students schedule with me. I kindly ask that you respect my time and the time of other students who might be waiting for an opportunity to work with me. If you need to reschedule or cancel a session, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. Unfortunately, cancellations or rescheduling within 24 hours of our scheduled time will incur the full session charge. After three such occurrences, I regret that I may no longer be able to continue our work together. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I've felt alone in this great big world before, like I didn't have help and didn't know what I was doing. I still do, sometimes. And I hope that I can make others, even if just one individual, feel less alone out here -- in any way it may make sense.
