About Dario

I'm Dario Zarrabian, an MBA candidate at Stanford Graduate School of Business with several experiences in Sports, Media & Entertainment. Before GSB, I worked as a Senior Manager, Strategy for Major League Baseball and an Associate Consultant at LEK Consulting. I earned my A.B. in Applied Mathematics with a focus in Psychology from Harvard College. My career has spanned across various industries, but is primarily focused on Sports, Media & Entertainment. At MLB, I had the privilege of experiencing the entertainment industry broadly, from league operations and team dynamics to private equity, investment banking in sports acquisitions, talent agencies, and content & media platforms, including social media, SVOD, and vMVPDs. My journey to business school wasn’t an obvious path; I initially questioned the fit but ultimately applied to Harvard, Stanford, and Wharton (plus four others). After receiving interviews and acceptances, I had a period of deep reflection, guided by mentorship and advice from over 30 people, that clarified my decision to pursue an MBA. I’m eager to support students in two key areas: (1) Crafting a Strategy for Business School Applications: I can help students with all aspects of the application process, from selecting schools based on fit to crafting a compelling narrative and preparing for interviews. (2) Navigating Opportunities in Sports, Media & Entertainment: Breaking into these fields can be challenging, and I can assist with identifying entry points, networking strategies, salary negotiation, and any other areas within these industries.
