Danny has helped clients get into these companies:
My expertise here lies within the Consulting to Mid-Market PE transition. After starting a family while at McKinsey, I pivoted into Private Equity at Tower Arch Capital in Salt Lake City, Utah - the first and only firm I interviewed with. I then personally helped a dozen Consultants from the BYU network land offers at lower-upper middle market firms in the next ~24 months by sharing my "playbook" on building a top notch candidacy, strategizing timing, weighing opportunities, networking naturally & intentionally, and preparing tactically for home-run interviews.

About Danny
Out of undergrad at BYU I landed an offer at McKinsey & Co., where I worked for 3 years in the Denver office across a variety of industries and functions. While there, I was McKinsey's recruiting lead for BYU's full-time applicant pipeline, and designed the coaching, mentoring, and interview prep programs for dozens of candidates each year. During that time, we elevated BYU from a regional school to a "Target School" for McKinsey nationally. My individual interview prep and case coaching mentorship has helped 20+ aspiring candidates land Big 3 consulting offers. I also was a lead interviewer for multiple recruiting cycles. After starting a family, I left McKinsey with an "offer to return" and pivoted into Private Equity at Tower Arch Capital in Salt Lake City, Utah - the first and only firm I interviewed with. After 2 years in PE, McKinsey sponsored my MBA at UCLA Anderson, and fulfilled a childhood dream interning for Nike in their Finance Leadership Development program before finishing Year 2 in LA. After graduating in the Spring of '23, I started back at McKinsey as a Sr. Associate where I continue to work across industries and functions.
Why do I coach?
Coaching and tutoring are a part of who I am - I tutored through HS and college, was an Athlete Tutor in the BYU Athletic Department, and have even built up my own ACT coaching business since high school. Helping dozens of others launch their careers by landing Big 3 consulting offers out of undergrad has been the most fulfilling aspect of my work experience to this point, and I'm excited to keep growing that number as a coach on Leland!
