Dallin’s Executive Qualifications
Experience level: Vice President
Open to working with clients outside the U.S.
I currently work as chief of staff to the CEO of a private equity-backed public sector consulting firm. I pivoted from a background in management consulting into the CoS role, and along the way also received offers from a top-tier private equity CXO program and a prestigious leadership development program at a top-20 Fortune 500 corporation. I genuinely love working as a chief of staff and am a firm believer that CoS / CXO / adjacent roles are outstanding career and leadership growth opportunities. If you're interested in pursuing these types of roles, I'll work closely with you to identify best-fit opportunities, get your foot in the door, navigate the interview process, and prepare for the role itself. Prior to my current role, I worked for five years in management consulting, rising from entry-level business analyst (with no prior business experience) to associate consultant in record time at my firm, and then to engagement manager. I also worked as a public school teacher in New York City as a Teach For America corps member and on Capitol Hill in the U.S. House of Representatives. I received my MBA from Harvard Business School and BA in international relations from Brigham Young University.
About Dallin
I'm an HBS graduate (Class of 2023) and was also accepted to Wharton. I've helped applicants get into schools like HBS, Kellogg, and Said (Oxford). I'm a strong believer that the best MBA applications come from following first principles--not from over-engineered essays, bloated resumes, title-centered recommendations, or "perfect" interviews. I'll work closely with you to zero in on first principles and keep your application grounded in why you (your whole self) are an excellent fit for your ideal school. My coaching style focuses on distilling your goals, life experiences, and professional background into a cohesive, authentic narrative that truly differentiates you from other candidates. From personal experience, I know how deeply and strongly applicants want to get into their dream school. As your coach, that becomes my personal ambition as well. Post-HBS, I'm working as chief of staff to the CEO of a private equity-backed public sector consulting firm. Before HBS, I worked in management consulting for 5 years, taught public school in New York City as a Teach For America corps members, and worked on Capitol Hill in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Why do I coach?
I coach because my own MBA experience was life-changing--but my journey to get there, including the admissions process, was challenging and complex. There were numerous times when the admissions process felt overwhelming and frustrating. My goal is to deliver outstanding value to you in our coaching sessions so you feel full confidence that you're putting your best foot forward.
