About Clay

Software implementation consultant and business analytics professional from Dallas, TX trying out big city life in Chicago. Vanderbilt (BS) and SMU (MSBA) graduate. Avid beach volleyball player, home chef, and cat dad. Coaching is in my DNA. In high school, I mentored underserved youth, coached lacrosse at inner-city schools, and volunteered as a teacher's aide in an ESL elementary school. In college, I became heavily involved in admissions consulting and tutored local children in STEM subjects. And since graduating, I've become a career counselor for students in my Master's program and lead recruiting and Learning & Development efforts at my job. I firmly believe that offering up your knowledge, wisdom, and experience to others is critical to cultivating a connected and successful world.

Why do I coach?

I am fortunate enough to come from a privileged background where I had access to coaches and mentors to whom I can attribute much of my success. I have been involved in coaching in one way or another for as long as I can remember, but it wasn't until I was diagnosed with a debilitating mental health condition that I fully realized and appreciated that we as humans do not and should not have to go through anything alone. If one person benefits even marginally from my services, we all take a step forward together.
