HBS Grad | Ex-"Nontraditional" Candidate | Here to Help You Tell Your Story

As a previous "nontraditional" candidate myself, I've worked with a lot of candidates to articulate how an MBA fits into their narrative and future goals. I know that applying to business schools can be challenging - it's hard not to go through the occasional confidence lapse and questions of "why am I doing this." When I applied to business schools in 2019, I was leading one of the privacy teams at Meta. Despite having worked in sales and product prior to this privacy role, I realized after some initial conversations with admissions coaches and other MBA grads, that people didn't "get" why I wanted to go to business school. I quickly learned that I was considered a "nontraditional" candidate simply because I had a policy-oriented job, despite the business implications of that job. I learned to translate my interests, job, and future goals to admissions committees by speaking their language. It became a priority for me to not only help them understand my story, but to also help them understand the value of people with different experiences, values, and backgrounds in a business school setting. Now, having gone through the academic experience, I feel even more strongly that diversity and representation of all kinds is essential in business schools, especially as the relationship between business and society grow increasingly intertwined. I'm passionate about helping people tell their story and find the right school for them to accelerate their careers. In going through my own personal journey, I've learned that taking the time to reflect and highlight what's unique about you in your applications will also help you shape your life in other ways. My goal is to help you get to where you want to be in the next phase of your life, while learning about yourself along the way. If you want to work together, I'd love to chat and get to know you better!
