About Christian
"Anyone I coach is approached with absolute sincerity and passion, with all efforts going towards bringing the very best out of the candidate. I lead with purpose and principle and will not waiver in helping a candidate achieve their goals of admission into top programs and with top companies, keeping skill-building in mind along the way". Christian is a published academic author, former medical student admit, and has championed a successful transition out of academic and clinical medicine into industry, where he has spent the last 4 years earning his stripes. He completed his MBA at Berkeley Haas School of Business in '23 and now works for LinkedIn, driving solutions involving leveraging AI in online marketplaces. Prior to embarking on his MBA journey, Christian worked as a Venture Fellow for Rock Health, where he led key insights during VC's health tech transformation during the pandemic. Christian's additional work experience spans startups, entrepreneurship, and corporate roles - focusing on product acceleration and adoption. Christian has received graduate program offers at some of the nation's top institutions including Duke University, Yale, Stanford, Berkeley, and MIT. He has also been offered positions at companies spanning technology and consulting, including Google, Rivian, Adobe, Apple, McKinsey, and Bain. As a former tutor and Graduate Teaching Assistant, he understands the multi-faceted approach that goes into landing admissions at top schools and companies: from how a candidate looks from a formal writing standpoint and professional profiles to how they are assessed in interviews. He takes a unique approach to coaching, with a belief that harnessing creativity and novelty are the true differentiators when separating out the greatest performers. In his personal life, Christian enjoys dynamic team sports (baseball, football, and more), composing and playing music, reading, studying philosophy, and outdoor activities. He welcomes candidates from all background and especially enjoys helping candidates make difficult pivots and transitions. Above all, he loves to mentor.
Why do I coach?
I have a life pursuit along with a social services component to mentoring, of which there are currently disparities and intergenerational gaps. Especially in a post-pandemic world, the "mentorship gap" is persistent as unmet mentoring needs affect younger people in areas beyond just work. Mentorship is in itself a rewarding experience for me as I enjoy building some of the tenets that help a mentee beyond the direct benefit - such as trust, navigating institutions, self-esteem, and confidence.
