About Cassandra
tl;dr: — Currently: MBA candidate at Stanford & MPP from Harvard; internships at McKinsey, OpenAI and with a few VCs — Accepted to 9/9 top MBA and 3/3 MPP top programs, received merit-based scholarships for all relevant programs —Received offers from BCG and Bain — Past life: Google.org, entrepreneur, and federal policy — Academic background: University of Colorado Boulder, Economics If you have time: I just finished my MPP from Harvard and am completing my concurrent MBA from Stanford! I spent my time as a Federal Reserve researcher and a small business entrepreneur before my time in school, so I will help you craft an app that tells a compelling story, especially from non-traditional backgrounds. Additionally, I went to a state school that could be considered non-prestigious, and I studied social sciences, so I have experience making an application stand out from those perspectives as well. I am a Black Latina first gen MBA passionate about helping others from marginalized groups. Finally, as an MLT alum, I know the ins and outs of the process. I wrote essays and interviewed for different top MBA (Stanford, HBS, Wharton, Kellogg, Sloan, Yale SOM, Haas, Tuck, McCombs) and MPP (Harvard, Princeton, UT Austin) programs and received admissions invitations from all of them. I received merit-based funding (Harvard Zuckerman Fellowship, Graduate Consortium Fellowships, other merit-based free ride scholarships) to programs that offer merit-based funding. I also helped my peers get into top MBA and MPP programs through their essays and applications throughout the graduate application process. Moreover, I have been revising grad school applications for peers in the US and China over the past 5 years for Ph.D. programs in Economics, Finance, Public Policy, & Sociology and Masters in Public Affairs, Policy, Business, & Speech Pathology. I look forward to helping you tell your story and differentiate yourself from other candidates!
Why do I coach?
I coach because the process to get into MBA and policy programs is unnecessarily tricky. I know it can be overwhelming, and I want to help you simplify it!
