Why do I coach?
I coach because I've had incredible experiences working with life and executive coaches when I was building my last company and now as I build my current one. After undergoing training to become a professional coach, I'm passionate about supporting others to build the life aligned to their values and vision. I've coached many clients during career transitions (as they think about 'What next?') and entrepreneurs who hope to balance their other identities (parent, sibling, friend, cofounder etc) with their identity as an entrepreneur/founder.

A sense of social connectedness and belonging is one of the key aspects of human flourishing - especially in a world with rising mental health challenges and loneliness. Discord hosts a multitude of communities and is quickly becoming the central node among communities to form meaningful and engaging connections. I'm working on a team thinking through and building global partnerships (across different industries and segments) that drive Discord's mission to give people the power to create space to find belonging in their lives. I&P and Mastercard Foundation created a new investment program under I&P 'Education to Employment', which aims to improve African youth's employability and reduce the skills gap in Sub-Saharan Africa. This three-year initiative supports 30 education entrepreneurs in Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, and Senegal and looks to address key challenges such as: - the educational and economic resilience after the COVID crisis, - the development of skills and employability of youth, - the digitalization of skills-training programs, - the better inclusion of vulnerable learners and of women within education SMEs, - and the emergence of alternative impact evaluation and compelling advocacy policies. I sit on the 5-person Selections Committee which discusses and approves the companies that receive funding from this vehicle. https://www.ietp.com/en/content/ip-mastercard-foundation-partnership
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
LendHer Capital
January 2021 - July 2023
LendHer Capital is a venture-debt fund that aims to close the financing gap for African women-led businesses that can’t access traditional capital. We believe that investing in women running dynamic businesses yields both financial returns and economic growth impact. We also believe that for women entrepreneurs to succeed, there can and should be a dual prioritization of business growth and life balance. When we scanned the market, we could not find funds run by women and with these values. So we started our own.
