About Ashwin

With over 12 years of distinguished strategy consulting experience, I've held leadership roles as Bain Manager, Director at Deloitte, and Strategy Lead at Goldman Sachs. My professional journey spans diverse global markets including Dubai, New York, and India, where I've honed both consulting and recruiting expertise. I hold an MBA from INSEAD, France, and a graduation degree from XLRI, India. Additionally, I bring a wealth of coaching experience, having conducted over 1000 coaching sessions. I take pride in having guided more than 200 individuals to master case interview skills, enabling them to secure offers at renowned consulting firms.

Why do I coach?

Coaching is a passion of mine because of the profound impact it had on my own journey. Early in my career, a McKinsey engagement manager guided me through the application process for MBBs, teaching me the value of structured problem-solving and effective communication in interviews. He boosted my confidence, especially after initial rejections, and his support was crucial in helping me clear the Bain interview and launch my strategy consulting career. This transformative experience inspired me to help others in the same way. As a coach, I find immense joy in seeing my clients succeed. For example, I recently helped a client who was struggling with case interviews and had been rejected by Bain, feeling his dream of joining an MBB firm might not be fulfilled. Through intensive one-on-one coaching, I helped him significantly improve his ability to think through problems logically, taught him how to collaborate with the interviewer to drive the case discussion effectively, and communicate his thought process clearly and explicitly. This transformation helped him secure a position at McKinsey. Witnessing their growth and success is incredibly fulfilling. Coaching keeps me engaged in continuous learning and allows me to make a tangible difference in people's lives, helping them unlock their potential and achieve their goals, just as my mentor did for me.
